Malgre un premier deminage du site, le chantier de restauration a du etre interrompu apres la decouverte de munitions non explosees et de mines. Un second deminage vient d'etre effectue par la societe americaine Tetra Tech. Les drapeaux blancs indiquent les zones deminees. Le 10/05/2023 /// The 7th-century Syriac Orthodox Mar Toma Church in Mosul's Old City was vandalized during the city's occupation by the Islamic State group and heavily damaged during the Battle of Mosul. Despite a first minesweeping of the site, the restoration work had to be interrupted after the discovery of unexploded ammunition and mines.
