Malgre un premier deminage du site, le chantier de restauration a du etre interrompu apres la decouverte de munitions non explosees et de mines. Un second deminage vient d'etre effectue par la societe americaine Tetra Tech. Le 10/05/2023 /// The 7th-century Syriac Orthodox Mar Toma Church in Mosul's Old City was vandalized during the city's occupation by the Islamic State group and heavily damaged during the Battle of Mosul. Despite a first minesweeping of the site, the restoration work had to be interrupted after the discovery of unexploded ammunition and mines.
