Légende : L'eglise syriaque orthodoxe Mar Toma datant du 7eme siecle dans la vieille ville de Mossoul a ete vandalisee pendant l'occupation de la ville par le groupe Etat Islamique et fortement endommagee pendant la bataille de Mossoul. Malgre un premier deminage du site, le chantier de restauration a du etre interrompu apres la decouverte de munitions non explosees (ici dans le cimetiere de l'eglise) et de mines. Un second deminage est en cours par la societe americaine Tetra Tech. Les drapeaux rouges indiquent la presence d'explosifs. Le 10/05/2023 /// The 7th century Mar Toma Syriac Orthodox Church in Mosul's Old City was vandalized during the Islamic State group's occupation of the city and heavily damaged during the Battle of Mosul. Despite an initial clearance of the site, the restoration work had to be interrupted after the discovery of unexploded ammunitions (here in the church cemetery) and mines.
