Le pont a été emporté lors du passage du cyclone HARUNA en février 2013. Le cyclone Haruna a ravagé toute la partie Sud de Madagascar provoquant de violentes inondations détruisant toutes les cultures et de nombreuses habitations de la région. 26 morts et environ 40 000 sinsitrés ont été dénombrés par les autorités malgaches. Cet évènements exceptionnel, même pour une région "habituée" aux saisons cycloniques, a déclenché de nombreuses opérations humanitaires d'envergure par les ONG internationales. Remains of a bridge on the road between Anakao and Betioky, in the South-West of Madagascar. The bridge has been taken away by the HARUNA (cyclone) in february 2013. The HARUNA (cyclone) devastated the whole southern part of Madagascar, provoking violent floods that destroyed all crop fields and several housings in the region. 26 deaths and approximately 40 000 casualties have been counted by the malagasy authorities.
