Caption : 18/05/2010 - PARIS, France - Portrait de Roland Montins (à droite), un des chefs de groupe du GIGN (Groupe d'Intervention de la Gendarmerie Nationale) ayant donné l'assaut le 26 décembre 1994 sur l'aéroport de Marignane à l'avion d'Air France pris en otage depuis deux jours par un commando de quatre terroristes algériens du GIA (Groupe Islamique Armée). Il raconte cette histoire dans un livre co-écrit avec Jean-Michel Caradec'h, intitulé "L'assaut".
Sur la photo, il pose avec Richard Cleret, un des steward d'Air France sauvé par l'intervention. Ils ont depuis noué des liens d'amitié.
