Titre : Honest heroes make up an indigenous police force
Légende : 03-08-2011. Guerrero, Mexico.
At the premises of the community radio station at San Luis Acatlan.
"Welcome to the voice of Costa Chica. Because only the people communicate with, support and defend the people", goes the slogan framed by the face of Genaro Vazquez, a guerillero who died in mysterious circumstances in 1972. His theories inspired the founders of the CRAC. The radio has existed for 5 years. It broadcasts over practically the whole territory of the CRAC. Programs are varied: women's rights and health, children's songs, advice for peasants, programs in indigenous languages, etc. Narco-corridos (anthem to the traffickers) and any reference to violence are strictly prohibited.
