Légende : L'eglise chaldeenne Al-Tahira dediee a la Vierge Marie dans la vieille ville de Mossoul a longtemps ete un lieu de pelerinage pour les chretiens et les musulmans d'Irak. Elle a ete fortement endommagee pendant l'occupation de la ville par le groupe Etat Islamique et pendant la bataille de Mossoul. Elle fait actuellement l'objet d'importants travaux de restauration. Au sol sont stockes des artefacts et des plaques de marbre que les djihadistes du groupe Etat Islamique avaient detaches des murs en vue de les vendre. It was badly damaged during the occupation of the city by the Islamic State group and during the battle of Mosul. It is currently undergoing major restoration work. On the ground are stored artifacts and marble slabs that the jihadists of the Islamic State group had detached from the walls in order to sell them.
