Légende : Dans la vieille ville de Mossoul, de nombreux batiments sont encore en ruine, six ans apres la bataille pour sa liberation entre l'armee irakienne et le groupe Etat Islamique. A l'arriere plan, la mosquee Al Nouri a ete presque entierement detruite pendant la bataille en 2017, l'armee irakienne accusant le groupe Etat Islamique d'avoir place des explosifs dans ce joyaux de la vieille ville. C'est dans cette mosquee que le « calife » autoproclame du groupe EI, Abou Bakr al-Baghdadi, avait fait son unique apparition publique connue en 2014.
